Saving Project...

Site work and new construction of a civil project in Aklavik, Northwest Territories. Design plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; and for the construction of a water / sewer project.

Submarine pipeline replacement of 8.5 kilometres of underwater pipe (through trenchless shoreline crossing/horizontal directional drilling); and upgrades to two pumphouse facilities at either end of the line. High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) pipes will be utilized. Pumphouse No. 1 upgrades will include: Replacement of the oldest part of structure; Piping; Heat, ventilation, cooling; Generator; New office space on second floor; and Site grading, parking, water/wastewater. Pumphouse No. 2 upgrades will include: Replacement of pumps and piping; New ventilation, cooling; New generator; Air compressor for intake screens; Electrical and heating upgrades; and Building and road expansion. TIMELINE: Preliminary engineering design report is nearly complete. Water License amendment engagements are ongoing. Tender and construction will be staged and is not expected to proceed prior to 2024. Further project details and schedules may be confirmed in late summer, 2024.
