**As of March 4, 2022, bids were rejected. They are planning to rebid by Fall of 2022.** Construction of modifications to the Town of Atlantic Beach water treatment plant to allow the injection of ammonia into existing pipeline facilities located at 101 East Drive, Atlantic Beach, NC. The Work will include a liquid ammonium sulfate (LAS) feed system consisting of two 100-gallon double walled LAS storage tanks, a pump skid with dual injection pumps, an in-line static mixer, modifications to the existing water plant piping and facilities, a chlorine analyzer, a chloramine/ammonia analyzer, appurtenances necessary to mix the LAS with previously chlorinated distribution water to form chloramines, and a masonry block structure built inside the existing water plant. The Bidder shall be a North Carolina General Contractor who will be responsible for the appropriate items of work. Submit one copy of executed offer, signed and sealed with required security deposit (Bid Bond) in a closed opaque envelope, clearly identified with bidder's name, project name and Owner's name on the outside. Bids must be submitted on a complete contract. If a Bid is forwarded by mail, the sealed envelope containing the Bid must be enclosed in another envelope addressed as above. Bids by FAX or Email transmission are not acceptable and will be rejected. Bids must be made on copies of blank forms included in the Bid documents. The name and address of the Bidder shall be plainly marked on the sealed envelope, along with the name of the project ("Ammonia Injection Facilities"), and the date and time of the bid opening. Each Bid must be accompanied by cash or a certified check, drawn on a bank or trust company authorized to do business in North Carolina, payable to The Town of Atlantic Beach in an amount at least equal to five percent (5%) of the total amount of the Bid, as a guarantee that a contract will be entered into and that a satisfactory performance and payment bond will be executed. In lieu of cash or a certified check, the Bidder may submit a Bid Bond in the form prescribed in N.C. G. S. 143-129. The right is reserved to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities, and to award contract or contracts which, in the opinion of The Town of Atlantic Beach, appear to be in its best interest. The right is reserved to hold any or all Bids for a period of ninety (90) days from the opening thereof.
