The project consists of re-roofing Housing Unit 3 (C3007) and Housing Unit 4 (C3008) and the demolition / installation of multiple new air handling units in 5 buildings including All Faiths Chapel (C3014), the Education Building (3034), Housing Unit 3 (C3007), Housing Unit 4 (C3008), and the Vocational building (C3041). Cost range: under $7,000,000. Earlier solicitation has been included below for reference: The scope of work provides for replacing approximately 42,000 square feet of both steep and flat roofing on Work Camp 1/Housing Unit 3 (C3007) which is a 46,000 square foot, 3-story building established in 1940 and Work Camp 2/Housing Unit 4 (C3008) which is a 46,000 square foot, 3-story building, established in 1935. The work includes architectural style shingles, underlayment, metal edging, flashings, gutters and downspouts, as well as a new membrane, insulation, drip edge metal and all necessary accessories. Remediation is required at mold impacted wood sheathing and framing in the Unit 3 and Unit 4 attics. An asbestos assessment has confirmed asbestos pipe fitting insulation is present in the fan rooms in a deteriorated condition. Additionally, asbestos debris has been confirmed present in the Unit 3 North Fan Room. Repair/remove deteriorated pipe fitting insulation, as well as clean and remove asbestos debris from the Unit 3 North Fan Room. The scope of work also provides for replacing the steam absorption chillers, cooling towers, pumps, air handling units and control systems in the following buildings at the correctional center: Campbell Cottage (C3010), All Faiths Chapel (C3014), and the Education Building (3034), which will impact the systems at Work Camp 1/Housing Unit 3 (C3007), Work Camp 2/Housing Unit 4 (C3008), and the Vocational Building (C3041). The exhaust system currently serving the shower/toilet rooms in both Unit 3 and Unit 4 is no longer operating as intended. A fully engineered replacement upgrade will be required to resolve the exhaust conditions. The scope of work also provides for replacement of associated branch ducts.
