The building schematic reflects a predominantly flat roof design with a one-story garage structure and a hose tower and given the topography of the site a two-story building with a lower walk out level to the rear. As of March 10, 2026, schematic design is at 40%. expected to begin in mid-summer 2025 and run to mid-summer 2026. Neither the architect nor the general contractor has been confirmed. Construction is estimated to commence in late 2026, full construction in 2027 with completion in May 2027. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: City of Moline is requesting statements of Interest and Qualifications from qualified firms to perform architecture and engineering services for the development of plans and specifications for the construction of a new fire station. Statement of Interest and Qualifications must be submitted on the required forms and signed by an authorized agent to be considered responsive to the RFQ. The City reserves the right to reject any or all responses hereto, as well as the right to waive any technicalities in otherwise responsive submissions if it should be deemed in the public interest and to invite for interviews and the firms which are, in its opinion, most advantageous to the City.
