8060-605 Roadway construction along existing dirt roads, including traffic control, erosion control measures, and construction of approximately +- 23 drop inlets, +- 4,388 LF of 18", 24", 30", 36" RCP side drain & storm drain pipe, +- outfall concrete headwall & apron, +- 4,970 LF of 6"x30" curb & gutter, +- 1.16 Lin. Miles of mainline roadway grading, +- 14,457 SY of soil cement or graded aggregate base course, +- 1,480 TN of 9.5 mm RAC superpave, driveways paved to the ROW, signage, striping, and all other necessary appurtenances for a complete job. All work on the Project must be completed within 210 consecutive calendar days of date of notice to proceed. Bid shall be submitted on Bid Proposal Forms furnished for that purpose, in accordance with the Contract Documents and the Plans and Specifications which are on file and may be reviewed at the office of the County Manager and the office of Hofstadter and Associates, Inc., Consulting Engineers, 4571 Arkwright Road, Macon, Georgia 31210. No bid will be considered unless sealed and filed with Toombs County prior to the time set forth above, and accompanied by a Bidder's Bond, payable to the Toombs County for 10 percent of the amount of the bid; to be forfeited as liquidated damages in the event that the bid be accepted and the bidder fail to enter promptly into a written contract and furnish the required Payment Bond and Performance Bond and Insurance Certificates. Bids arriving after the designated time will be returned unopened. No bids shall be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after the opening of bids. Toombs County, reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to overlook and/or disregard informalities or irregularities in the proposals.
