Renovation of a municipal facility in Madison, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 3,003-square-foot, one-story above grade municipal facility.

In general, the work consists of interior renovations at the East Madison Department of Motor Vehicles Service Center, including relocation of the public information desk; relocation of regional staff offices; relocation of the conference room; and expansion of the team lead and supervisor offices into an unused storage room. The public restrooms, staff restrooms and staff kitchenette will be renovated to comply with accessibility requirements and to replace aging fixtures. Renovations will include new interior finishes, replacement of the original windows for improved energy efficiency and security and replacement of the public entrance doors. The work will include new high-efficiency boiler, new water heaters, replacement of the HVAC controls with a new building automation system, new condensing unit, and replacement of cooling coils, exhaust fans, dampers, and other HVAC components. The project is also replacing fluorescent lights with new LED fixtures and proving power and data for the reconfigured spaces. Bid Guarantee in the amount of 10% of the Bid must accompany each bid submitted. NOTICE: The 2017-2019 Wisconsin State Budget (2017 Wisconsin Act 59) repealed Wisconsin's prevailing wage laws. Effective September 23, 2017, state prevailing wage requirements on state building projects no longer apply. These changes take effect for projects advertised for bid after September 23, 2017.
