Renovation of a multi-residential development in Edmonton, Alberta. Completed plans call for the renovation of a multi-residential development.
This Request for Quotations (the "RFQ") is an invitation by Civida (formerly Capital Region Housing Corporation) to prospective respondents to submit quotations for balcony restoration in two buildings within the Youngstown property located at 16604-102A Avenue NW, Edmonton, Alberta. The Youngstown site was originally constructed in circa 1973. The buildings are wood-framed, consisting of apartment and townhouses. Only two buildings have balconies, buildings 10236 - 166 Street and 16623 - 102A Avenue. Refer to Section 3.5 Site Map for an aerial view of the site identifying balcony locations. The balconies were renovated circa 1991. Original balcony wall section drawings and proposed balcony renovation work from 1991 are available. A Balcony Condition Assessment was also performed in 2018. This report is also attached to this RFQ for reference. Note that no subsequent work was done following the 2018 assessment. The successful Contractor must verify onsite measurements. The scope of work entails restoration of eight (8) balconies (four (4) per building). Balcony size is approximately 2.5m x 1.1m in dimension. No work is required to the columns and foundation. The Work under this RFQ must be completed no later than November 30, 2021.
