Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Grove City, Ohio. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
Subject to the right of Grove City to reject any or all bids, Grove City will award contracts to the bidder(s) submitting the lowest and best bid(s). The work for which Grove City is inviting bids consists of the following: Base Bid (Part 1) Construction of a new roadway north of the Holton Road and Meadow Grove Drive intersection to a termination point approximately 1920 feet to the northwest. The proposed roadway improvements will include subgrade stabilization, full-depth asphalt pavement, asphalt path, concrete walks and street lighting system. Construction of a new parking lot. Extensive underground infrastructure including 24-inch and smaller storm sewers and manufactured water quality structures are included in the scope of the improvement. Add Alternate (Part 2) Construction of a new roadway north of the termination of Part 1 (Base Bid) to a connection point at Tournament Way approximately 750 feet to the north. The proposed roadway improvements will include subgrade stabilization, full-depth asphalt pavement, asphalt path, concrete walks, steel-backed timber guardrail, reinforced fence and street lighting system. Extensive underground infrastructure including 18-inch and smaller storm sewers and a manufactured water quality structure are included in the scope of the improvement. Construction of a retention pond including landscaping, washed gravel shoreline protection and stone outcroppings. A 36' x 12' arched culvert spanning Patzer Ditch. The estimated costs of construction for the work outlined in the plans and specifications for the various bids are: Base Bid (Part 1): $ 1,560,000.00 Add Alternate (Part 2): $ 1,970,000.00 In order to be considered, Contractors must submit bids on the Base Bid (Part 1) and Add Alternate (Part 2). Hard copies of the Contract Documents and Specifications will not be provided. Contract Documents and Specifications may be obtained from Bid Express only and at costs associated with the Bid Express service fee schedule. Payment for these items will not be refunded. Each bid shall contain the full name and address of each person or company interested in the same and shall be accompanied by a bond meeting the requirements of the Contract Documents and written on the form included with the Contract Documents. Each Bidder must ensure that no employees and applicants for employment are discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex, Vietnam Era nor disabled veterans, or National origin. Schedule: The work shall commence within sixty (60) calendar days after the City issues the Notice to Proceed for the Contract. The work shall be completed within two hundred and forty (240) (Base Bid only) or three hundred and sixty (360) (Base Bid and Add Alternate) calendar days from the City's issuance of the Notice to Proceed for the Contract. The project is subject to additional milestone and contractual requirements. The Bidder is required to state in full detail, with their Bid, their experience in this class of work; bids from contractors inexperienced in this particular class of work may not be considered. This project requires payment of prevailing wages to all workers during the course of construction activities. Bidders must comply with the prevailing wage rates on public improvements in Franklin County and the City of Grove City, Ohio as determined by the Ohio Bureau of Labor & Worker Safety, Wage and Hour Division, 614-644-2239. The City of Grove City, Ohio, reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive technical defects as the interest of the City may require; and, to conduct such investigation as necessary to determine the lowest and best bidder for the Contract.
