Saving Project...

Site work and new construction of a transportation facility in Boulder City, Nevada. Design plans call for the construction of a transportation facility; and for site work for a transportation facility.

As of August 20, 2024, an engineer has been selected and this project is in the design phase. Construction anticipated to start in 2025/2026. The project is included in the city's 2023-2027 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). An Air Traffic Control Tower will improve public safety through the separation of aircraft. The FAA recommends that an Air Traffic Control Tower be constructed when annual operations reach 100,000 takeoffs and landings per year, the Boulder City Municipal Airport estimates show that the Airport has reached the operational threshold as defined by the FAA. The City applied to the Contract Tower Program and was accepted with a Cost Benefit Ratio or B/C Ratio of 2.23, a B/C Ratio of 1.0 or greater is required to be accepted into the program *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
