The Bay County Board of County Commissioners seeks bids from qualified electrical contractors for the purchase and installation a 1750 KW Generator with new wiring from existing utility company transformer; provide a new Automatic Transfer Switch that functions with the new generator; connect to main breaker; all feeders shall be no longer than 100 feet. The new generator will provide backup power to accommodate the entire Bay County Government Building, including the existing HVAC system. The new generator shall be designed and installed to meet current local, state and national building codes. The project may be reimbursed by the Florida Division of Emergency Management (FDEM) under Hazard Mitigation Grant Program Project Number 4399-023-R Contract Number H0592. It is imperative that Respondents examine and become familiar with the Hazard Mitigation Grant Program established by the FDEM as funding for the project may be made possible through this grant and is contingent on strict conformance to the guidelines set forth by FDEM and FEMA. Respondents will comply with Hazard Mitigation Grant Program Project Number 4399-023-R attached as Exhibit 3 and the Federal Regulations Contract Requirements shown at Exhibit 4. Bids shall be delivered to the Board of County Commissioners Purchasing Department, at 840 W. 11th Street, Suite 2500, Panama City, Florida 32401, no later than the bid deadline. Bidders should submit one (1) original bid package. Bids shall be enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the title of the work, the name of the bidder and the date for opening. It is the sole responsibility of the bidder to ensure that the bid is received on time. The County will check the bids and notify the selected bidder at the earliest opportunity.
