Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to a fitness / recreation center in Waterloo, Ontario. Conceptual plans call for the addition of a 9,000-square-foot, three-story above grade fitness / recreation center; for the demolition of a fitness / recreation center; for site work for a fitness / recreation center; and for the renovation of a fitness / recreation center.
This RFP is issued by Colliers Project Leaders Inc. acting on behalf of the Owner. The Owner is seeking to retain a Construction Management team for site development of a new Lutherwood Community Mental Health Recreation HUB Document # 811701-0076 (1.0), this will include 9,000 sqft addition, demolition of the existing parklands building, office renovations and fit out of new commercial kitchen in the main building. The existing Parklands building will be demolished to make room for the new HUB, this building is 2 storeys plus a basement approx. 10,100sqft built in 1970. Phase 1 of the project will need to be completed prior to building demolition, this includes relocation of the commercial kitchen to the main building and 2-3 offices will be renovated. Phase 2 will be the addition of a new HUB, this will be 3 storeys (no basement) and approx. 9,000sqft with a connection to the existing facility. The main campus will still be operational during demolition and construction. Tender has been cancelled. If/when the project will be re-tendered is undetermined at this time.
