City of Millersville Accepting Bids for Construction of Asphalt Parking Lot The City of Millersville is accepting bids for the construction, installation, asphalt paving and striping of 24 space parking lot at City Hall in Millersville, Tennessee. Must have liability insurance of at least $1,000,000. Work will consist of construction of excavation, and construction of an asphalt visitor parking lot consisting of 24 spaces, 18ft deep and 9 ft wide per parking space, with 24 ft isle, as per the drawing. The proposed parking lot is located below the current visitor parking in front of the City Hall at 1246 Louisville Hwy, Millersville, TN 37072. The Contractor shall: 1. remove existing top soil and haul to an approved site; 2. add sub-grade with gravel; 3. scarify and compact sub-grade; 4. remove any intrusive roots and large rocks or boulders; 5. replace and compact the base course to six (6) inches; 6. Pave area with three (3) inches of new compacted asphalt; 7. include compaction and testing; 8. match existing slope drainage with current parking lot; 9. re-stripe parking lots to match existing pattern and to level with current parking lot.
