This project improves a section of US 78 from Richardson Ave to Berlin Myers Pkwy. Project elements include: road resurfacing, pedestrian improvements, shoulder construction, road widening and intersection improvements. Project is included Dorchester County FY 2023-2027 CIP, as of May 20, 2024, project is in design phase until mid-2026. Construction expected mid-2026. A design team has been identified. A general contractor is to be determined. Right-of-way services being done by Michael Baker International. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
