The award is scheduled for the Village Board meeting on January 26, 2022.*** Bidders are advised that this Contract will be subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act. Bidders are advised that this Contract will be subject to the Illinois Steel Products Procurement Act. The successful Bidder shall provide at least 40% of all labor required for the completion of this project. In addition, per the Employment of Illinois Workers on Public Works Act, the workforce on all public works projects is to be comprised of a minimum of 90% Illinois residents. The Bid shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the gross amount of the bid and be payable to the order of the Village of Coal City. Bids may be held by the Village of Coal City for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of the opening of Bids for the purpose of reviewing the Bids and investigating the qualifications of Bidders, prior to awarding of the Contract.
