Royal Valley USD 337 Board of Education will receive sealed bids on Roofing Contract for construction, including but not limited to incidental plumbing, HVAC, electrical and general work associated with the roof replacement/roofing repairs, for the referenced project as described below. Complete roof replacement work and miscellaneous painting. The Roofing Contractor will be considered the Prime Contractor. Approximate area of Elementary School Roof to be replaced: 14,900 SF. 1) Interior Remodel: None anticipated. 2) Selective Demolition: Existing EPDM membrane, associated flashings and sheet metal required as well as the existing rigid insulation (only where deemed to be deteriorated or water soaked) to the existing metal roof deck. 3) New Work: New work includes new TPO membrane roof system to match most of the existing buildings on campus. The new TPO membrane system shall include new rigid roof insulation to match existing thickness where removed, tapered rigid insulation (1/4aEUR/ft) where required, to existing drains with A 1/2 aEUR cover board and all associated prefinished sheet metal flashing and trim. Work will include roofing membrane manufactureraEUR(TM)s recommended roofing and flashing details to meet roofing membrane manufactureaEUR(TM)s standards for full warranty. Adjustment of existing roof penetrations will be included to accommodate new roof insulation. 4) Schedule: Intent is to bid and award the contract and develop submittals and place orders for materials in time that work can take place during a period when temperatures are conducive to the proper installation of the new membrane (Fall 2022). There will be substantial use of the adjacent parts of the campus during the work period, however, The District is accommodating their activities to facilitate this work. a) Award: A specific date of substantial completion will be determined upon award of contract.
