Roof Replacement PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Abbreviated written summary: Briefly and without force and effect on Contract Documents, work of Contract can be summarized as follows: Approximate area of High School Roof to be replaced: 19,500 SF. 1) Interior Remodel: None anticipated. 2) Selective Demolition: Minimal anticipated. Existing metal standing seam roof is to remain. 3) New Work: New work includes new TPO membrane roof system. The new TPO membrane system shall include new rigid flute filler roof insulation board and 1/2 i coverboard. Work will include roofing membrane manufactureris recommended roofing and flashing details to meet roofing membrane manufactureis standards for full warranty. Adjustment of existing roof penetrations will be included to accommodate new roof insulation. 4) Schedule: Intent is to bid and award the contract and develop submittals and place orders for materials in time that work can take place during a period when temperatures are conducive to the proper installation of the new membrane (Fall 2024). There will be substantial use of the adjacent parts of the campus during the work period, however, The District is accommodating their activities to facilitate this work. a) Award: A specific date of substantial completion will be determined upon award of contract Each Bidder shall examine the bidding documents carefully and, not later than five (5) days prior to the date for receipt of bids (August 1, 2024), shall make written request to the Architect for interpretation or correction of any ambiguity, inconsistency or error therein which he may discover.
