Renovation of a residential development in New Britain, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development.
Questions during the bidding process shall be submitted by RFI format through PennBid. The Central Bucks School Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive any informality in any bid, to eliminate or reduce items or quantities, and exercise its judgment as to the comparative merit of the products and services offered. Clarification Deadline: 11/12/2021 11:00 AM Description of Work: 1. Existing exterior stairs shall be replaced to maintain a secondary means of egress from the second floor office space. 2. Replacement stairs and wall mounted handrail shall meet code requirements for handrails and landing area. 3. Stairs and handrail shall be shop painted. 4. Shop drawings of stairs and handrail shall be provided for review and approval, and for use in obtaining a building permit from New Britain Borough if required. Provide engineering calculations to support the permit application. 5. CBSD will apply and pay for any required permits from New Britain Borough. 6. Work shall include removal and disposal of existing stairs and handrails. 7. Work shall include restoration of any lawn or site features disturbed during Work. 8. Bid proposal shall include all manpower, equipment, and tools necessary to complete the project in a neat and workmanlike manner. Bid proposal shall also consider specification Division 00 and 01 included in the project materials. 9. Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Rates will apply if project costs exceed $25,000.00.
