The Bacon County Board of Commissioners will accept sealed bids for the construction of the project entitled FY2022 LMIG -Widening, Leveling, Overlay, and Stripping of the Old Alma-Waycross Highway Any Contractor submitting a bid must be licensed by a pre-qualified Georgia Department of Transportation Contractor and must be fully insured and bonded. The work to be done shall consist of furnishing all labor, materials and equipment necessary to construct the project titled FY2022 LMIG - Widening, Leveling, Overlay, and Stripping of the Old Alma-Waycross Highway. In general, the project consists of leveling, overlay & stripping of Fourth Street Extension. This project is for approximately three (3) miles of widening, leveling, overlaying & stripping from the Beach Highway to the Bacon-Ware County line. Our project will widen the roadway two (2) feet for 3.3-miles, level 3-miles with 80-pounds per square yard of leveling and overlay with a Double Surface Treatment with a sand seal and re-stripe. All bid forms must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount bid. Any Contract or Contracts awarded under this Advertisement for Bids are expected to be funded through the Bacon County Board of Commissioners FY2022 LMIG Program, TSLOST & SPLOST. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
