Demolition and site work for a detention facility in Nicholls, Georgia. Completed plans call for the demolition of a detention facility.
Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond of not less than 5% of the base bid. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 30 days subsequent to the opening of bids without the written consent of the Owner. The successful bidder/s will be required to furnish and pay for both a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the contract price. The owner reserves the right to reject all bids or any bid that is non-responsive or not responsible, and to waive technicalities and informalities. The Owner will award the Project by the base bid (that is, the amount of money stated in the bid as the sum for which the bidder offers to perform the Project.) Thus, for the purpose of awarding the Project, the Owner shall not consider selected alternates, that is, the amounts stated in the bid to be added to or deducted from the amount of the base bid if corresponding changes in the Project scope or alternate materials of construction are accepted by the Owner. Bids may be mailed or hand delivered opening place named on page one, provided they are received prior to the designated time of 2:00 P.M. No add-ons(additive alternates) or deducts (deductive alternates) can be written on the outside of the envelope containing the bid.
