Construct approximately 4,200 linear feet of 5 feet wide concrete walking trail along The Hills Drive, between Dovedale Cove and approximately 100 feet east of the dam. 2. The walking trail is expected to cross multiple driveways, and it is assumed that the Village will secure any construction encroachment agreements, if needed, for reconstruction of the driveways to accommodate TAS-compliant cross-slopes. A CERTIFIED CHECK or an acceptable bid bond in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid shall accompany each bid as a guaranty that, if awarded the contract, the bidder will promptly enter into contract with Village of The Hills, and furnish bonds on the forms provided. BIDDERS are expected to inspect the site of the work and to inform themselves of all local conditions. Time of completion shall be 180 calendar days including Saturdays, Sundays, and legal holidays. THE SUCCESSFUL BIDDER OR BIDDERS will be required to furnish a Performance Bond, Payment Bond, and Maintenance Bond as stipulated in the specifications. NO BID may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids for at least ninety (90) calendar days. THE CITY reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids, waive any and/or all formalities, and award the bid as it appears most beneficial to Village of The Hills. SPECIFICATIONS may be examined without charge at Village of The Hills. Contract documents including bid proposal forms, plans sheets, and specifications for the Project may be viewed and electronic free of charge (with the option to purchase hard copies).
