Site work for a water / sewer project in Portage, Michigan. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Improvements include replacement of water mains and hydrants and installation of storm water catch basins in localized flooding areas in conjunction with the Local Street Reconstruction Projects. Replacement of older cast iron water main and obsolete hydrants to improve water supply and firefighting capabilities. These investments addresses storm water flooding areas on Local Street Projects. As of November 18, 2024, this project is included in the City of Portage's FY 2023-2029 CIP. This project is being funded annually and is expected to be completed in-house or through an annual service contract. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly.
