The work includes mobilization, traffic control, removal of asphaltic pavement and base aggregate, excavation, foundation preparation for the new retaining wall, Redi Rock (or equivalent) retaining wall, geotextile fabric, medium riprap, concrete curb and gutter, base aggregate dense 1 1/4 -inch, geogrid, asphaltic pavement and restoration. Re-caulked existing bridge joint caulk. Railing to be placed on the new retaining wall (alternate bid). The anticipated substantial completion date is 25 calendar days from the start of construction, and final completion date is an additional 5 calendar days. No work shall take place from March 1, 2022 to June 15, 2022. Final Completion no later than November 18, 2022 No proposal will be accepted unless accompanied by a certified check or bid bond equal to at least 5% of the amount bid, payable to the OWNER as a guarantee that, if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the proper contract and bond within 15 days after the award of the contract.
