The work shall include rehabilitation to approximately 4000 LF of 24" DIP force main that has been degraded by exposure to hydrogen sulfide gas. Rehabilitation may include open trench replacement of the line, pipe bursting, or installation of a liner system such as Cured-In-Place Pipe (CIPP), or any combination thereof. The finished product shall be of a material that is inert to hydrogen sulfide. If replacement with DIP is proposed, the DIP shall be lined with a ceramic epoxy lining such as Tnemec Series 431 Perma-Shield PL or approved equal. All proposals must be accompanied by adequate security (proposal bond, certified check, or irrevocable letter of credit) drawn in favor of the Authority and in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total proposal price, which shall be subject to forfeiture as liquidated damages in the event that the proposal be accepted and the Offeror fail to promptly enter into the proposed contract for the performance of the Project with the Authority. The Authority reserves the right to reject all proposals or any proposal that is nonresponsive or submitted by a non-responsible Offeror. The Authority reserves the right to waive technicalities and informalities in this Request for Proposals and the proposals submitted. The Authority shall have the right to accept the proposal(s) that the Authority, in its sole discretion, determines to be the most advantageous to the Authority based on the evaluation factors set forth in the Request for Proposals.c *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project.
