Renovation of a water / sewer project in Douglasville, Georgia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

The work to be performed shall include: 1. Aeration a. Installation of Owner furnished aeration equipment to replace existing aerators in the aeration basins (two mixers in each of two aeration basins). Equipment includes: aerators (motors, gear boxers, impellers), VFDs, control panel, DO meters and transmitters b. Modification of the existing Main Electrical Building to install HVAC equipment c. Replacement of all exposed conduit in the aeration basin area 2. Demolition of the following items a.Resurface and coat secondary existing secondary clarifier launders with epoxy-type coating 3. Testing and startup All work will be performed within Authority property. All anticipated rights of way and easements required for the Project have been obtained. All anticipated federal, state, and local permits required for the Project have been obtained. All prospective bidders must hold a current Georgia Utility Contractors License and be on, or promptly qualify for inclusion on, the Authority's Approved Contractor List, without restriction or probationary status All bids must be accompanied by adequate bid security (certified check, bid bond, or irrevocable letter of credit) drawn in favor of the Authority and in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid price, which shall be subject to forfeiture as liquidated damages in the event that the bid be accepted and the bidder fail to promptly enter into the proposed contract for performance of the Project with the Authority. The Authority further reserves the right to waive technicalities and informalities in the Invitation for Bids and bids submitted.
