A satisfactory Bid Bond provided by an acceptable surety (or the cash equivalent) in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid shall be submitted with each bid. The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids or waive any informalities in the bidding. Performance and payment bonds in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price will be required. The bonds must be secured by cash or must be issued by a surety company licensed in the State of South Carolina with an A minimum rating of performance as stated in the most current publication of Best Key Rating Guide, Property Liability."
