Renovation of a medical facility in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a medical facility.
The Kent County Purchasing Division is soliciting bids for replacement of the electrical panels, motor control center, and unit substation at the Kent County Health Department located at 700 Fuller Avenue NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49503. Work may begin after award and notice to proceed. Work shall be conducted to have minimal areas of the building without power for as limited time as possible. Inquiries Deadline Date & Time (local) 12/2/2021, 2 PM Control Logic will work directly for Facilities Management but selected Electrical Contractor will need to work with Control Logic on the motor starter removal part of the project; current controls are wired into the current motor starter control panel and sizing for the breakers needed for Frequency drives to air handlers motors. Panels and Motor Control Center Includes: o Replace (1) 800A Main Distribution Panel (PDP-1) o Replace (6) 200A General Power Panels (P-B-1, P-B-2, P-1-1, P-1-2, P-2-1, P-2-2) o Replace (1) 100A Emergency Panel (EP-1) o Replace (5) 100A Lighting Panels (L-B-1, L-1-1, L-1-2, L-2-1, L-2-2) o Replace (1) Motor Control Center (MSP-1) o Replace (1) 225 kVA Transformer o Replace (1) 5kVA Transformer o Misc. Materials o Permits o Labor figured as night shift. o Square D panels are preferred Dimensions, if furnished, are for general reference only and should be verified by Respondents. All persons providing goods and/or services to Kent County shall comply with all applicable local, State and Federal laws, rules, and regulations specifically including, but not limited to, lawful Emergency Orders. The conference purpose is to provide equal opportunity to seek clarifications and inspect the location (if applicable). Attendees shall have fully reviewed all solicitation documents and correspondence prior to the conference. Attendees are responsible for taking their own meeting notes and shall be an employee or authorized reseller of the Respondent with requisite knowledge, skill, and abilities to participate. No person exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms shall attend the in-person conference. Respondent must notify the above Kent County contact if a person in attendance at the conference exhibits known COVID19 symptoms and/or is confirmed to have COVID-19 in the fourteen (14) days following the conference. No Bid Bond is required if a bid is less than $500,000. If the bid is withdrawn after the bid opening, the Respondent may be removed from the Bidder's list ("Vendor Registration") pursuant to Kent County Purchasing Central Purchasing and Open Market Procedures for Goods and Services section D.13 Failure to Perform Satisfactory. Each bid over $500,000 must be accompanied by a Bid Bond executed by the Respondent and payable to County of Kent for five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid. Attorneys-in-fact who sign Bid Bonds or Payment Bonds and Performance Bonds must file a certified effective dated copy of their Power of Attorney. A certified check, bank draft, cashier's check, or negotiable U.S. Government bond (at par value) may be submitted In lieu of a Bid Bond. Personal checks are NOT acceptable. If submitting the bid electronically, attach a copy of the properly executed Bid Bond to the bid. The original Bid Bond may be requested by the Kent County Purchasing Division and is to be received within two (2) business days of request. The Bid Bonds of the unsuccessful Respondents will be returned after the Solicitation is awarded. The Bid Bond of the successful Respondent will be retained until the contract is fully executed by all parties involved. Each contract over $50,000 must be accompanied by a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each payable to the Owner (County of Kent) and each in the amount of 100 percent (100%) of the contract price with a corporate surety approved by the funding agency, for the faithful performance of the contract.
