CLARIFICATION DEADLINE 12/3/2021 4:00 PM Penllyn Woods Community Center HVAC System Replacement This project includes the furnish and installation of 1 Trane 7.5 ton Heat pump system, 1 Trane 5 ton Heat Pump System and the addition of three (3) Mitsubishi Ductless Hyper heating units in the room, ladies room, and kitchen of the Penllyn Woods Community Center in Lower Gwynedd Township. Additional improvements include upgrades, repair, or replacement of any equipment electrical connections that are in poor condition or that are not up to code, the furnish and installation of a new custom transition to the existing supply, and a new custom return air base and new return air drop. The contractor will be responsible to connect to the existing electrical supplies in their current locations. A nominal fee of 0.33% of the bid amount (up to $5,000) is assessed only to bidders awarded contracts. Each bid shall be submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders, including but not limited to being accompanied by a Bid Bond or Certified Check for not less than ten percent (10%) of the Bid amount payable to Lower Gwynedd Township. The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish proof of insurance, performance and payment bonds for 100% of the amount of the contract. This project is subject to applicable provisions of Act 422, PA Prevailing Wage Act, as amended, and the prevailing minimum wage rates issued by the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry for work valued at over Twenty-Five Thousand Dollars ($25,000). For Contract Prices exceeding $25,000.00, the project is subject to applicable provisions of Act 127, Pennsylvania Public Works Employment Verification, as amended. A Bid may be modified or withdrawn by an appropriate document duly executed in the manner that a Bid must be executed and delivered to the place where Bids are to be submitted prior to the date and time for the opening of Bids. Bids may be withdrawn within two (2) business days after the opening of Bids only by the withdrawing Bidders strict compliance with 73 P.S.1602 and any subsequent amendments. No Bidder may withdraw their bid within sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening of the bids, or for such longer period of time that Bidder may agree to in writing upon request of Owner. Lower Gwynedd Township reserves the right to reject any and all bids for any cause whatsoever, to eliminate any item or items from the contract, and to waive any informality in the bids.
