Project No. 006344 Purpose and Description of Services :The Department of California Highway Patrol (CHP) is soliciting bids from firms that are able to provide Ballistic Lobby Enclosure Services. Bids must address all services described in Exhibit A entitled, "Scope of Work" that is included in the Proposed Agreement Forms/Exhibits section of this IFB. Exhibit A contains a detailed description of the services and work to be performed as a result of this IFB including those terms in the referenced exhibits.The CHP intends to make a single agreement award to the responsive and responsible firm offering the lowest bid. This IFB is open to all eligible firms and/or individuals that meet the qualification requirements. Regardless of postmark or method of delivery, the CHP, Business Services Section,Contract Services Unit must receive bid packages no later than the time and date found in the Section B of the attached IFB, entitled 'Time Schedule." Install new level 3 ballistic glass panels on top of counter in matching aluminum framing in lobby, leaving an 8" gap between ceiling and walls, as per plans and specifications. D. Install new door lined with level 3 bullet resistant woven fiberglass panels cut to fit and painted, with an electronic door entry device, as per plans and specifications Install level 3 bullet resistant woven fiberglass panels on front side of countertop to bottom and cut to fit. Remove window on west wall. Build back wall and install level 3 ballistic woven fiberglass panels to cover entire wall area and pain to match, as per plans and specifications. Install 1-steel pass-through deal tray at the opening in glass cutout per photos. Supply power from under the counter to the speaker, as per plans and specifications Furnish all new framing materials to support the glass panels and door as per plans and specifications. Contractor will ensure that the work area is kept clean and free of debris, as necessary, to maintain a safe working environment for staff. All debris, trash and packaging are to be disposed of off-site daily Ensure all framing members are attached to the roof structure above the suspended ceiling for structural support of the new wall panels, and door, as per plans and specifications.
