Site work and renovation of a water / sewer project in Heber Springs, Arkansas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
The Heber Springs Water & Sewer Utility (HSWS) of Heber Springs, AR is seeking proposals consistent with Act 627 of the State of Arkansas 91st General Assembly Regular Session 2017, from qualified licensed professionals who are certified by the Arkansas Contractors Licensing Board to perform construction management/general contractor services for the construction of improvements to their wastewater treatment plant. The project may include construction of bar screens, activated sludge treatment, and a U.V. disinfection system. HSWS desires the selected contractor for the project to play an important role in design review, scheduling, cost control, value engineering, constructability, and preparation of bid packages to achieve maximum value for the utility. HSWS will assemble a selection committee that will review the proposals and make a formal recommendation to the HSWS Commission.The minimum qualifications that HSWS will consider are: 1. Specialized experience and technical competence specific to the wastewater industry as demonstrated in similar projects. 2. Record of timely completion, control of costs, and quality of work specific to construction management of projects for the wastewater industry. 3. Ability to obtain Payment Performance Bonds and a two-year maintenance bond from a surety company licensed to do business in Arkansas with an A.M. Best rating of not less than A- to verify the firm's bonding capacity. Please include the bonding rate. 4. Experience Modifier Rating less than 1.0. 5. Experience with HSWS's design engineering firms, CWB Engineers and Hawkins-Weir Engineers. All questions shall be directed in writing to Mr. Clint Bell, P.E.
