Separate contracts will be awarded for the various elements of the Project Work. The separate contracts comprising the Project have separate liquidated damages provisions for each. The Moffitt Library Seismic Safety Project includes the strengthening of 86 existing reinforced concrete columns in the 5 story undergraduate library. The structure is composed of reinforced concrete columns and slabs with post-tensioned floor beams and girders. Work includes selective abatement, selective demolition, fiber-reinforced polymer column wraps, plaster column finish, and associated build back. At each level, the majority of work can be accessed above the existing floor and below the existing ceiling. Work is scheduled to begin at the start of March 2022 and be complete in Summer 2022, prior to the start of the Fall 2022 Semester.
