The University of California, Berkeley is seeking an Electrical Engineering consultant to perform a comprehensive evaluation of the existing power delivery system between the Hill Substation and the main campus. This is in line with providing independent ways to deliver power from the sources to each and every building. The product of the consultant's evaluation will be a study that will be used to guide the subsequent design and construction of future duct banks, Interface Switching Stations, and Conventional Switching Stations. The anticipated future construction of large and prominent buildings on the main campus of the University of California, Berkeley drives the campus's goals for this study. The primary goal of the study is to provide a conceptual design for the first duct bank and interface Switchgear/Switching Station that are needed to meet the anticipated campus electrical load growth during the next 10 years (2021 - 2031). A second goal, equal in importance to that of the first stated goal, is to provide a conceptual design for the second duct bank and interface Switchgear/Switching Station that are needed to meet the anticipated campus electrical load growth during the following 10 years (2032 - 2042).
