The Berkeley Campus of the University of California requests that interested firms submit written statements of qualifications to provide Mechanical Engineering services for the Haviland Hall HVAC Improvement Project for supplemental work associated with duct distribution throughout the building. At the University's discretion, design services may be part of this scope. The Haviland Hall Facility, constructed in 1922, is approximately 51,020 GSF and consists of 5 floors, including two basement levels. Haviland Hall functions primarily as an office and classroom facility. Project 12707A is currently under construction and is a complete Building Wide HVAC Improvement Project and consists of complete replacement of main building supply fan, replacement of motor and addition of VFDs for main exhaust fan as well as two small fans serving the 3rd flr of the building, and complete replacement of all mixing dampers. Additionally, all new digital controls are being installed throughout the entire building, including thermostats, temperature sensors and control points to all new and existing mechanical equipment. Project documents can be provided to the selected design firm. The design services we are requesting now pertain to correction of duct work distribution throughout the building as a result of incomplete historical renovations to various spaces. Estimated Construction Cost: $100,000.00 to $150,000.00 Questions about this RFQ or the project should be submitted using online no later than 12:00p.m. PST on July 9, 2021.
