The City of Surrey (the "City") invites contractors to provide a quotation on the form attached as Schedule B - Form of Quotation to Attachment 1 - Agreement - Goods and Services (the "Quotation") for the supply of the goods (if any) and services described in Schedule A - Specifications of Goods and Scope of Services to Attachment 1 - Agreement - Goods and Services (the "Goods and Services"). The description of the Goods and Services sets out the minimum requirements of the City. A person that submits a Quotation (the "Contractor") should prepare a Quotation that meets the minimum requirements, and may as it may choose, in addition, also include goods, services or terms that exceed the minimum requirements. General Information The Goods and Services shall consist of the watering of newly planted areas in natural area parks. The annual work program will be provided by the City and work will be scheduled in advance. The work must be done in accordance with: British Columbia Landscape and Nursery Association Standards Methodology Watering is the application of water via a tank and hose applied to the plants in a method that ensures the water penetrates to the root zone of the plants and avoids run-off. The application of water at each site by probe or hose/spray will be dictated by the City. Approximate amounts of water per plant required (will vary): Tree - 5 gal Shrub - 2 gal The City will provide maps of the locations of the planting sites. The City will provide the watering frequency for each planting site. Access to the sites can be made via a truck. The City will arrange for the Contractor to access City fire hydrants to fill watering tanks. Access cards will be provided to the Contractor crew(s) for use at the hydrants and must be returned to the City at the end of the watering season.
