The Work covered under this project consists of the furnishing of all superintendence, overhead, labour, materials, tools, equipment, insurance, fuel, transportation and all things necessary for and incidental to the satisfactory performance and completion of construction and renovation of South Surrey Indigenous Carving Centre, located at 13723 Crescent Road, Surrey, British Columbia. The general components of the Work include:2021 Minor renovation and addition to a simple gable structure in a park setting to accommodate covered outdoor cultural space and new carving centre interior programme space; upgrades to the building include but are not limited to: .1 Minor demolition in existing building called the boat shed, including removal repair and replacement of the wood plank floor. .2 Minor demolition to CIP footing and wall structure inside the building. .3 Minor demolition to existing guardrails and doors in building wall openings. .4 Construction of new timber framed entry pavilion with gathering space and associated foundation and site work. .5 New accessible universal washroom. .6 Minor addition of new partitions to accommodate new layout. .7 New carving centre support space millwork that meets accessibility requirements. .8 New plumbing fixtures as scheduled. .9 Minor addition to HVAC to accommodate washroom. .10 New electrical service and interior and exterior lighting throughout new and existing spaces to accommodate change in programme. .11 Minor exterior grounds repair and improvements. .12 Coordination with current “notice of work” relative to archeological sensitive zone.
