Replace Bachlott House Exterior Shutters at Cumberland Island National Seashore Period of Performance: 02/07/2022 to 04/07/2022 The existing wood shutters have been on the structure for more than 20 years and have exceeded their useful life. While they have in tegrity of design, they are reproductions and the level of deterioration has been accelerated by the proximity to brackish waters of the Saint Marys river. The cost to rehabilitate the existing shutters exceeds the cost of replacement with a more sustainable mater ial. The shutters are important for both the appearance of the structure and to serve as a measure of protection during hurricanes and sh ould be functional. PMIS# 311106A.
