Site work and paving for a civil project in Biglerville, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.

This Project involves (all quantities are approximate) removal and replacement of approximately 1,800 lineal feet of eight inch sanitary sewer gravity main, manholes, and service laterals along with associated restoration of state and Borough roads.The work includes trenching and installation of approximately 255 lineal feet of eight inch ductile iron water pipe and appurtenances to replace approximately 175 lineal feet of existing 1 14" line located in SR 0034 (Main Street). Approximately 150 L.F. of %" copper water service lines will be installed and reconnected to the new water main. Restoration will include base repair and approximately 667 SY of state highway milling and overlay as well as affected curb and concrete sidewalk. The Council of the Borough of Biglerville has authorized KPI Technology, to act on their behalf by opening bids. Contracts will be awarded at a regularly scheduled meeting of the Borough of Biglerville. A bid bond by acceptable surety or a certified check made payable to the Borough of Biglerville in the amount of 5% of the maximum bid must be provided by each bidder with their bid. Each bidder must be prepared to submit evidence of his qualifications to perform the work. In addition to the Equal Employment requirements of Executive Order 11246 regarding discrimination, the Contractor must establish a 6.9% goal for female participation and a 1% goal for minority participation in their aggregate on-site construction workforce for contracts in excess of $10,000. The Contractor shall strive to meet the MBE goal of 5% and WBE goal of 3% for contracts of $25,000 or more. The Biglerville Borough Council reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any irregularities, or to negotiate contract amounts.
