Site work and paving for a road / highway in New Hanover Township, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The Project consists of the application of Fog and Chip Seals on various Township roads. The project shall consist of: a. Maintenance and protection of traffic - One lane of traffic must be maintained during the course of all work. b. Milling of asphalt pavement; c. Base repair and scratch and level course to be marked by Owner, following milling where surface milling is proposed; d. Placement of new wearing course; Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a unit price basis as indicated in the Bid Form. No pre-bid meeting will be held for this project. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Attention is called to the fact that prevailing minimum wage rates as determined by the Secretary of the Department of Labor and Industry must be paid by the Contractors on this project and that employees and applicants for employment shall not be discriminated against because of their race, age, color, religion, sex, national origin, or handicap. Each Bidder is required to meet the requirements of Public Works Employment Verification Act, Act 127 of 2012. New Hanover Township, Owner, hereby reserves the right, which is understood and agreed to by all bidders, to refuse and reject any or all bids submitted, and also reserves the right to waive any informality in bids received.
