Garber Avenue and Maple Avenue Contract A - Curb Replacement The project consists of the following Contracts: Contract a - Curb Replacement **As of August 1, 2025, the project was awarded to Baseline Contracting Inc but the awarded amount is not available.** Contract B - FB-modified Leveling/overlay Question Deadline 07/03/2025 at 4:00 PM ET Questions will be accepted. All questions must be submitted through electronically. This project consists of curb replacement (Contract A) and installation of FB-Modified Leveling 1.25" depth and FB-Modified Overlay 1.5" depth (Contract B). No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the above-specified date for receiving, opening, and reading of bids, except as specifically may be provided by law. Each bid must be accompanied by a Certified Check or Surety Company's Bid Bond on the form provided in the Bid Documents, naming as payee or Obligee, Douglass Township, Berks County in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid submitted. The Surety Company must be acceptable to the Township. All Contracts exceeding $10,000.00 shall be performed in compliance with Executive Order 11246, entitled, "Equal Employment Opportunity," as amended by Executive Order 11375 and as supplemented in Department of Labor regulations (41 CFR Part 60). In addition, all Contractors shall comply with the "Nondiscrimination/Sexual Harassment Clause" as required by Pennsylvania Executive Order 2016-05. Wages paid are subject to the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act approved August 15, 1961, P.L. 987 as amended and supplemented. The Pennsylvania Human Relations Act of 1955, P.L. 744, No. 222, as amended June 25,1997 by Act 34 of 1997, 43 P.S. 951-963, shall apply to this Contract. The Bidder and all subcontractors for Contract B must be prequalified by PennDOT for the type of project work specified in order to bid the project, and prequalification certificates must be submitted by the Bidder and all subcontractors. The qualification documentation listed in Article 3 in the Instructions to Bidders must be submitted with the bid. Contract A is financed in part by a Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA) Grant through the Local Share Account, and the Contractor must comply with all of the Grant Regulations. Douglass Township, Berks County, reserves the right to waive any informalities in, or to reject any or all bids, and to delete any item or portion of an item without affecting the bids on the remaining items or portion of items. The above invitation to Bidders is made for the benefit of Douglass Township, Berks County, and no rights shall be deemed to accrue to any person making a bid by reason of the submission of any bid hereunder or by waiver or non-enforcement of any provision of the requirement of this invitation.
