As of April 15,2022, an engineer has been selected and this project is in the design phase. The scope of work provides for replacing the high voltage system throughout the campus. The work will also include replacement of indoor electrical substations at each quadrant of the Main Building, medium voltage transformers, secondary low voltage main switchboards, step down transformers, low voltage main switchboards, and rerouting of cable and conduit systems associated with the power distribution system. A combined MBE/WBE goal of 15 percent is applicable to the A/E team. Some level of participation from both MBE and WBE firms is required to satisfy this goal (this requires including one or more MBE AND one or more WBE firms on the team). A VBE/PBE goal of 2 percent is applicable to the A/E team. The Illinois Works Jobs Program Act Apprenticeship Initiative will apply to all prevailing wage eligible work performed on this project.
