The Work comprises furnishing all labour, materials, equipment, supplies and services for the replacement of two existing Sodium Bisulfite Storage Tanks with two new pre purchased Sodium Bisulfite Storage Tanks and associated piping, structural, mechanical and painting together with all appurtenant, incidental and associated work. Not less than the prevailing rate of wages as found by the Thorn Creek Basin Sanitary District or the Department of Labour or determined by the court on review shall be paid to all labourers, workmen, and mechanics performing work under this contract. Bidders will be required to comply with the Thorn Creek Basin Sanitary District's Responsible Bidder Ordinance. Comply with the provisions of the Employment of Illinois Workers on Public Works Act (30 ILCS 570) as they may apply to this project. Any changes to the bid documents will be in the form of Addenda issued to all plan holders. The Bidding and Contract Documents, including Instructions to Bidders, Bid, Form of Bid Bond, Agreement, Form of Performance Bond, Form of Payment Bond, General Conditions, Supplementary Conditions, Special Attachments, Specifications, Drawings, and Addenda, if any, may be examined at the office of the OWNER at the above address. Each Bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond or a certified or bank cashier's check on a solvent bank or trust company, made payable to the Thorn Creek Basin Sanitary District in an amount of not less than 5 percent of the total bid.
