BID NOTICE Sealed bids will be received by the City Manager of the City of Seaford, 414 High Street, Seaford, DE 19973, until 2:00 p.m., prevailing time on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 for Western Sussex Business Campus Horizontal Directional Drilling Conduit Installation All bids will be opened in the City Hall Council Chambers and read aloud at this time. The City Manager and staff will then evaluate them for compliance. The bids may be presented to the Mayor and Council at their regular meeting on February 8, 2022, at 7:00 p.m., in the City Hall Council Chambers, 414 High Street. They may be awarded at this time. The Mayor and Council reserve the right to reject any and all bids. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope, addressed ATTN: Charles Anderson, City Manager, City of Seaford, P.O. Box 1100, Seaford, DE 19973. The outside of the envelope must be marked Attn: City Manager, Western Sussex Business Campus Horizontal Directional Drilling Conduit Installation and the bidder s name shall be shown thereon. All proposals must be made on the bid form provided in the specifications. All proposals must conform to the bid documents. Any exceptions will be evaluated for suitability and acceptance is at the sole discretion of the owner. A pre-bid meeting will not be held for this bid solicitation. The bid documents are based on the Western Sussex Business Campus drawings prepared by the firm of George, Miles and Buhr. No bids may be withdrawn after the scheduled time from the receipt of bids for a period of thirty days. City of Seaford Charles Anderson City Manager A pre-bid meeting will not be held for this bid solicitation. 6" HDPE Conduit Installation This installation will be for underground primary electric cable installation to specified equipment along Opportunity Drive and Commerce Run. All conduit installations shall be properly fuse welded. 6" conduit shall include 2,500# mule tape installed for use by the City of Seaford. Total estimated length of installation = 3,200 lienal feet. 4" HDPE Conduit Installation This installation will be for underground primary electric cable installation to specified equipment along Opportunity Drive and Commerce Run. All conduit installations shall be properly fuse welded. 4" conduit shall include 2,500# mule tape installed for use by the City of Seaford. Total estimated length of installation = 1,200 lienal feet. 2" HDPE Conduit Installation This installation will be for underground electric cable installation for street lighting to specified locations along Opportunity Drive and Commerce Run. This includes (5) five crossroad HDD installations. All conduit installations shall be properly fuse welded. Total estimated length of installation = 1,000 lienal feet.
