Site work for a bridge / tunnel in Naperville, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel.
The City of Naperville is accepting bids from authorized vendors to perform handrail maintenance, repair and replacement in two locations within the City. This project consists of improving existing handrails in 2 locations that need maintenance, repair or replacement. The existing handrails are composed of various materials: steel, aluminum, chain link fence and wood; and they have various coatings applied: paint, powder coating, and galvanizing. The conditions of the handrails varied from Very Poor to Very Good. Very Good handrails tended to be galvanized or newly painted, while the Very Poor handrails exhibited extensive rusting and section loss throughout. Handrails rated as Fair had minor paint loss and rusting at localized areas due to the paint or powder coating starting to deteriorate.
