This project isto replace existing bird deterrent measures located inside the FBO hangar, located adjacent to the terminal building at Provincetown Municipal Airport, 176 Race Point Road, Provincetown, Massachusetts. The scope of work is expected to include the following: ? Secure all applicable permits from local authorities (if required). ? Remove and dispose of all existing bird deterrent controls installed within the FBO hangar, as directed by the Airport Manager. ? Install new ¾” mesh netting on the entire ceiling and upper walls(above a height of approximately eight feet [8’] above the hangar floor). ? A perimeter stainless steel cable system [1/8” diameter] shall be used as part of the installation. Securely fastened eye bolts shall affix the cable to the hangar structure, and turnbuckles shall be provided for proper tensioning. ? Stainless steel cable system shall also be used as needed to minimize sagging across the center of the FBO hangar. This may require up to three (3) stringer cables to provide support for the installed netting. ? All stainless steel cable ends shall be protected with ferrules to minimize fraying. ? Mesh netting shall connect to the stainless steel perimeter cable using stainless steel hog rings. ? No sags or gaps will be accepted around the perimeter or edges of the installed netting. ? Zippers or PVC mesh access panels shall be used to provide access at each light, fan, or otherequipment location for maintenance access. ? Any other components required for the installation of a complete, bird-resistant installation shallbe specified and included in the proposal and the firm fixed price. ?
