Renovation of an educational facility in Ashland, Oregon. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The work consists of: 1. New controls for: a. 3 single constant volume units with chilled water, heating water coils, air-side economizer. These are three new units to replace other systems in 3 classrooms not previously served by the chiller. b. 3 space pressure relief fans c. Space temperature sensors for 3 I.T. closets 2. Mechanical revisions: a. Replace existing air-cooled chiller with new under alternate #1 b. Add 3 mechanical room relief plenum system fans with new discharge hood c. Modify existing single zone heating and ventilation AHU for gym to include chilled water coil and SZ VAV operation (motor replacement). This includes modification of the unit line voltage panel with the addition of a VFD. d. Salvage to owner 2 split systems e. Replace chilled water pumps with slightly larger units f. Add isolation valves at the boilers for true lead-lag operation via the Aerco boil control panel g. Install 3 new air handlers with heating and chilled water coils for HVAC needs of three existing classrooms. This includes distribution ductwork, chilled water, and heating water piping. 3. Electrical revisions: a. Upgrade Electrical main service panel for larger chiller breaker under alternate #1. This involves on site modification of the panel per U.L. guidelines. b. New connections for new and modified mechanical devices All bids must be submitted on the proposal forms furnished to the bidders. Each bid proposal shall be submitted in a sealed envelope and plainly marked "DISTRICT WIDE HVAC UPGRADES - BELLVIEW ELEMENTARY SCHOOL" and show the name and business address of the bidder. Each bid must be accompanied by an unconditional cashier's check, certified check or surety bond of the bidder in the amount of ten percent (10%). Unsuccessful bidders will have their security refunded to them when the contract has been awarded. This contract is for a public work subject to ORS 279C.800 to 279C.870 (the Oregon Prevailing Wage Rate Law). BOLI wage rates will be applicable to this project. The wage rates are included in the bid documents which are available as noted above. No bid for a construction contract shall be received or considered by the public contracting agency unless the bidder is licensed by the Construction Contractors Board of the State of Oregon as required by ORS 701.035 and 701.055. Each bid must identify whether the bidder is an Oregon resident bidder, as defined in ORS 279A.120. Bidder's attention is directed to compliance with ORS 279C.370 regarding submission of the First-Tier Subcontractor Disclosure Form. If the contract amount exceeds $100,000.00, the First-Tier Subcontractor Disclosure Form will be required and may be submitted either with the bid or within two (2) hours after the bid closing time and date at the bid site address. Failure to provide the First-Tier Subcontractor Disclosure Form may result in bid rejection. The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive formalities, and to postpone the award of the contract for thirty (30) days. All bids and all prices quoted in bids shall be firm for a period of sixty (60) days after the bid closing date.
