As of February 14, 2022, the project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award not yet been established. The Work shall be performed under a single contract, and shall include, but is not limited to, the following: Construction of new 3 water main, approximately 2,100 linear feet in total length along Weeden Road and 150 linear feet behind buildings in the vicinity of 129-147 Main Street. Construction will involve both open-cut trenching installation and horizontal directional drilling (HDD) installation, with HDPE pipe. Construction will also involve the installation of gate valves, blow off hydrants, and reconnecting the existing water services to the new mains. This project also includes an Alternate Bid Item for the installation of an additional 1,800 linear feet of 3 water main along Weeden Road. Construction will involve horizontal directional drilling (HDD) installation with HDPE pipe and the installation of gate valves, blow off hydrants, and reconnecting the existing water services to the new main. All BIDS being mailed (including FedEx, UPS, Priority Mail, etc.) or hand-delivered to the Town of Randolph shall be directed to Gretchen Hind, Town Clerk at the address listed above in a sealed envelope. The envelope shall be clearly marked on the outside Town of Randolph, Water Main Replacement - Weeden Road and Main Street. Failure to follow the above instructions could result in rejection of the proposal. The Contract Documents may be examined at the office of MDA Consulting Engineers, PLLC. Anyone wishing to examine the Contract Documents should be advised to call ahead and confirm times in which the Contract Documents can be examined at the office (716) 699-4650. All Bid Bonds shall be on a form acceptable to the Owner, duly executed by the Bidder as Principal and having as surety thereon, a surety company approved by the Owner. No Bidder may withdraw their Bid within forty-five (45) days of the Bid Opening. A pre-Bid conference will be held at the time and location stated in the Advertisement for Bids. Representatives of Owner and Engineer will be present to discuss the Project. Bidders are encouraged to attend and participate in the conference. Engineer will transmit to all prospective Bidders of record such Addenda as Engineer considers necessary in response to questions arising at the conference.
