I. PURPOSE: The purpose and intent of this Quick Quote is to conduct a one-time solicitation to furnish and install ten (10) 2.5 ton HVAC systems and one (1) 5 Ton unit for use within Smith Mountain Lake State Park located at 1235 State Park Rd, Huddleston, VA 24104. Award shall be made on a grand total basis. All questions regarding this solicitation should be directed to Cristina Garcia (804) 625-3973 cristina.garcia@dcr.virginia.gov. II. SCOPE OF WORK: The contractor shall furnish all materials, labor, equipment, supplies and supervision to remove and dispose of the old units, replace and render operational ten (10) new, like in kind and type, HVAC units to be installed in housekeeping cabins located on the property and one (1) 5 ton to be installed at the Discovery Center. All work associated with this project shall be completed within sixty (60) days from award. Work to be completed Monday-Friday beginning at 8:00AM and coordinated with Park Manager. A. Product information shall be submitted with quote for evaluation. Failure to provide Product Information may eliminate your bid from evaluation. * B. The contractor shall install and render operational a new and unused ten (10) 2.5 ton HVAC system, minimum 14 SEER heat pump and one (1) 5 ton, minimum 16 SEER HVAC. Units to replace must be same tonnage as existing equipment. C. The contractor shall replace the existing heat pump, to include applicable refrigerant lines, adaptors to old duct work, equipment pad (if needed). D. The contractor shall replace all thermostats with a new/unused programmable thermostat. Honeywell Home, T2 programmable thermostat, Model #RTH5160D, or agency-approved equal. E. The contractor shall provide and install an indoor air handler adequate for the outside unit. F. Existing electrical connection may be used if it meets manufacturer recommendations. If not, electrical components must be replaced. G. Exterior units may require new foundation pads and/or snow legs and shall be installed level, if needed. H. The contractor shall provide and install 10 KW electric heat kit(s) as necessary. I. The contractor shall remove the existing unit from the premises and dispose of it in accordance with all local and national standards. All refrigerant shall be handled in an environmentally responsible manner in accordance with the Clean Air Act. J. The Contractor shall perform a full-system start up and review of the installation with park staff, including an overview of the operation and maintenance of the new system, as well as installed accessories. K. The contractor shall provide unit and workmanship warranty information in the comments section of the Quick Quote. Unit must carry a minimum 5-year warranty on parts and 1-year warranty on labor. L. The contractor shall provide the business name, contact name, phone number, and address of an authorized service repair vendor that will honor all warranty work and repairs on the product they (the bidder) offer in a same day or minimum 24 hour response time (including weekends). You may be requested to provide subcontractor's names in the event that your company is more than an hour from the installation location. M. Personnel requirement: All work shall fully supervised by a competent foreman. The Contractor shall be responsible for initiated and supervising all OSHA safety precautions in connection with this work, and maintain and English speaking representative on the site at all times. NOTE: Product information shall be submitted in the comments sections of the Quick Quote or stated in the body of an emailed paper bid form or attached in some other manner to your quote. ****Bids not meeting the minimum specifications above will not be considered for evaluation.
