The Town of Warrenton is seeking qualified contractors to perform milling and paving specified in the attached. All inquiries for information regarding procurement procedures, bid submission requirements, or other fiscal/administrative concerns shall be directed to: Purchasing Agent Phone: 540-347-1101 21 Main Street Fax: 540-349-2414 Warrenton, VA 20186 e-mail: procurement@warrentonva.gov All bids shall be accompanied by a five percent (5%) bid bond for the total amount of base bid Performance and payment bonds with a value of 100% of the contract amount will be required of the successful contractor prior to commencing work. Bids shall be opened and read aloud by the Purchasing Agent at the appointed hour and date and such of the bidders or members of the public as choose to attend. The Town reserves the right to reject any and all bids and waive all informalities. In the event the Town Manager chooses to reject all bids, the Town will re-advertise or make the purchase on the open market. The Town, through its duly adopted policies, may reject any or all bids. *Milling: 1.5" depth: 45,700 Sq.Yds. Scratch Coat where indicated (Item 1-j below): 7,400 Sq.Yds. 1.5" Surface Asphalt Paving: 6340 tons of surface course SM9.5 A *Lump Sum for New Striping/Pavement Markings Per Existing Markings *Lump Sum for Traffic Controls and Temporary Marking/Signage for Each of the Two (2) Locations.
