*As of March 10, 2022, the apparent low bidder is in the process of receiving the award for the project. The City of Ketchikan is seeking the services of a construction firm to construct a new exit ramp at the Totem Heritage Center, Contract No. 22-03 generally consisting of placement of concrete footings, wood posts and beams, wood decking, wood guardrail and handrail, and construction of a new concrete ramp; in compliance with all State and Local permits, and coordinating work with the Owner. A certified check, cashier's check or bid bond in the form included in the Contract Documents, payable to the City of Ketchikan in an amount equal to at least five percent (5%) of the total bid amount shall accompany each bid, as evidence of good faith and as a guarantee that if awarded the Contract, the bidder will execute the required Form of Agreement, and give the bonds and other instruments as required. The successful Bidder, simultaneously with submittal of the form of Agreement set forth in the Contract Documents to the City, will be required to submit performance bonds and payment bonds, and in the amounts specified in the Information for Bidders and the Contract Documents, secured from a surety company authorized to transact business within the State of Alaska and satisfactory to the City, and on the bond forms contained in the Contract Documents, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract price. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to determine which Bid Proposal, if any, should be accepted in the best interests of the City. The City further reserves the right to waive any formality or irregularity in the bids or bidding. Bids received after the time announced for opening will not be considered. PN - 202369
