The Finger Lakes DDSO is soliciting bids for a Bathroom Renovation at our Route 488 IRA located at 1505 Route 488, Phelps, NY 14532. This is a NYS public works project, and prevailing wages must be paid. Contract term: 30 days after completion of project Any questions not asked at the site visit must be submitted in writing to FL.Purchasing@opwdd.ny.gov within 2 business of the site visit. Contractors will receive a response within 2 business days after the deadline for submitting questions. All questions and answers will be e-mailed to all contractors that attended the mandatory site visit. The purpose of asking questions during the site visit is to obtain clarification to the enclosed Project Scope. In the event that modifications are needed to the Project Scope, the modifications will be distributed by the FLDDSO Business Office to all contractors. Contractors are to prepare and submit their quotes based on the written Project Scope and any modifications made in writing. This portion MUST be completed, signed and returned via email or fax to the contact listed on the cover sheet of this RFQ. SCOPE OF WORK includes, but is not necessarily limited to the following: 1) Follow the Design provided. 2) Be prepared with the necessary materials. Solid surface materials take time to be acquired as well as many other finishes do. Continuity of work is important. The project will be worked on continuously from demolition to finish. Have your materials in hand. 3) The location of the project dumpster will be approved by the house director. 4) Demolish the existing bathroom including removing the wallboard, door slab and subfloor taking care to salvage the door frame and fire alarm/strobe. 5) Install the floor drains and necessary plumbing rough in. 6) An inspection of the job is required at this point. Schedule this with the point of contact. 7) Once approved, install the subfloor according to the design. It should generally pitch to the drains. The maximum differential between the hallway flooring and the finished bathroom floor is 1/2 inch. 8) The epoxy flooring system is outlined in the design and will be installed by an installer with 5 years of experience verified by the manufacturer of the resinous material. 9) Install the bathroom according to the design making sure to update the project manager with any pertinent information relating to the job including unforeseen circumstances and changes to the design. 10)Schedule a final inspection
