This project involves the replacement of existing AP’s as illustrated below with New AP’s also shown below. ? Successful Cabling Installer will follow steps below to complete Installation. 1. List and documentation for the sites involved will be included in Installation Package a. Documentation includes asbestos information for the sites that contain it. all HDSB and Ontario Health and Safety Act Regulations are to be strictly adhered to. All other procedures outlined must be followed when entering a School building. b. All work for this project will occur when there are no students in the school(s). The successful proponent will be required to complete a majority of this project after 3:00PM. This time does fluctuate slightly between sites. c. Drawings have been provided with locations of current Access Points. These are to be filled in with a drop number and MAC address of the new unit, in some cases the drop number is already filled in but needs to be verified. The drop and MAC address must be filled in electronically. d. The New AP’s are to be labelled with 12 or 18MM Black on White Tape, and must be visible from the ground. Diagrams have been included below. e. All New AP’s will be warehoused at the main HDSB office, JW Singleton Centre (JWS) at 2050 Guelph Line, Burlington, L7P 5A8. When an existing unit is replaced with a new AP, the existing units will be returned to the JW Singleton Centre in boxes that had contained new AP’s.
